Support for students while home during virtual learning in the fall

ByAshley Morgan

As we prepare for schools to resume in a mostly-to-all virtual format this fall, we are looking for a tutor, or tutors, to help supplement and enrich our rising 2nd-grader’s education. The ideal candidate(s) would be an early childhood education major with experience working with elementary school aged children. We are in discussion with a few families to create a small group of 2nd graders and we would like to have a tutor (or tutors) provide in-home support and education a few hours a day, multiple days a week. While things remain uncertain as we wait for Montgomery County Public Schools to finalize their plans (anticipated August 14), the current draft proposal has students learning virtually at the start of the school year (August 31) and gradually shifting to attending school in-person two days per week by Thanksgiving. Logistics (number of hours per week, start date, time of day, rate) are negotiable. Thank you for the consideration and we look forward to working with you!
