About Linnea P.
Work hard and have fun
I have been a Special Educator in Montgomery County for over 12 years. I use consistency, differentiation and humor to encourage learners to take risks, work hard and meet their full potential. I have been trained in several reading programs, from multisensory based programs recently back in favor to more direct, intensive interventions. No one program meets the needs of all learners. In working in both diploma bound and certificate bound programs, I have had the pleasure of teaching students ranging from twice exceptional, to non-verbal. For each student, it takes a relationship based and data driven approach to set and meet realistic goals. The commitment of students and their families to learning is an essential variable in creating tangible results. Whether its homework help, reading/language arts tutoring, building confidence and organization or functional life skills, I look forward to helping you set and meet goals that will lead to real growth.
