Tutor Bio

Elementary Reading & Writing, Orton Gillingham Trained
Subjects : Reading/Writing, Reading/Writing

Hi, my name is Allison, and I have been working as a special education teacher at Westbrook Elementary School in Bethesda for the past 5 years.  I provide individualized instruction to students at all grade levels and ability levels, and help them succeed by catering to their unique learning styles.  I am trained in the Orton Gillingham approach and firmly believe that affording students with multi-sensory instruction at their own pace is the key to learning.  Such instruction better promotes mastery of concepts and simultaneously builds confidence in learning.

Hi, it’s Elizabeth Brooks, Annie’s mom. I’d love for you to tutor her brother, Harrison, in reading if you have availability. Would you be able to start in November? Possibly Wednesday afternoons? Thanks so much! Elizabeth
